Practice: Prelim

Editing of the Prelim

Once our prelim had been recorded we had to import the clips on to final cut pro. after doing this we had to seek out the takes that we wanted for the movie and then organise it on the sequence line.

After putting it in order we watched the clip over as a group and then cut off all the parts that we didn't want and need from an individual clip. After doing all the cuts we then exported it on to soundtrack then started to put on the non diegetic sound on.

We went through the sounds/songs until we eventually found what we were looking for. We then dragged it on to the time line and placed it where it need to go on the clip.

After finding all the right tracks and putting them in their correct places on the clip we then had to adjust how low or high we wanted it to play. After doing this we had to export it on to our desktop and save it on to our hard drive. Once doing this we went back on to final cut pro and imported in our sounds.

After doing this, we were able to edit the volume making it high or low at specific parts of the clip. We decided to make the sound go quieter where the dialogue was so that the watchers are able to hear what is being said.

Finally after the sound editing was done we was finally able to start adding the titles in order of where they needed to be. We added the company ident of Warner Brothers pictures to the start of our prelim. We then added the writing in conventional order referring back to our blog just to make sure the order was correct.
