The filming of our project

Getting to know or camera and tripod

We took inspiration for a clip in Phone-booth where initially the shot was blurry then as the phone rings the shot then becomes in focus. 

This is the clip in particular that we attempted to imitate;

Because our story lines where king of similar we though it would be a good idea to use this clip as a part of our intertextuality.


We achieved this shot by changing the settings to manual focus and then twisted the twisty nossel just before the lens. This then brings the shot out of focus. We had to get the timing correct between the actor recognising the sound of the phone ringing (which we couldn't hear) and the focus coming in on the shot.
